Paul Higham's New Volkswagen Transporter Demonstrator

Paul Higham, Sales Executive, has just taken delivery of his new Transporter Kombi T32 demonstrator finished in Salsa Red.

The vehicle boasts leather steering wheel, gear knob and gaiter, climatic air-conditioning and a KENWOOD Multimedia System with 7" colour touchscreen, European Garmin sat-nav and Blue tooth, iPod and iPhone connectivity.

The vehicle has been fitted with 18" Sportline five-spoke alloys and polished steel side bars to ensure that the vehicle is a real head-turner.

Simon Small takes delivery of 'The Chill Mobile'

Volkswagen Van Centre Chelmsford's Sales Executive, Paul Higham, had the pleasure of handing over the keys to a fanastic 'personalised' Volkswagen California SE 180PS 4Motion model last week to our customer Simon Small.

The exterior graphics were inspired by the 'BERGHAUS' limited edition model. The vehicle looked superb and Simon was 'chuffed to bits' with his vehicle!!

Simon will be using the vehicle, christened 'The Chill Mobile' most weekends when he participates in a wide variety of endurance events, many of which are illustrated within the exterior graphics, through out the highlands and lowlands of the UK.

Fund Raising At the Essex Spectacular

VW Van Centre (Chelmsford) are proud to announce that intrepid fundraiser, Charlie Pitcher, together with Donna Richardson, raised a total of £168.00 for local charities from their joint endeavours on our stand at the Essex Spectacular that was held on the 5th-7th August 2011 at Barleylands, Billericay, Essex.

Charlie, from Felsted, is the first man to run the Marathon Des Sables and row solo across the Atlantic in one year. More recently, he became the first man to run non-stop from the top of Ben Nevis to the top of Britain, some 350km in 100 hours.

Charlie brought along his rowing machine as part of a competition held on the weekend in aid of his favourite charity.

Donna applied 'face-paint' to children for a donation over the weekend.

VW Van Centre (Chelmsford) would like to thank them both for all of their time and support over the weekend. 

The Essex Spectacular And Essex International Hot Air Ballon Festival

VW Van Centre (Chelmsford) were very pleased to have been invited to display a range of VW Commercial Vehicles within the Motor Zone at this brand new event for the county. It took place on the 5th-6th August 2011 and was hosted at the Barleylands show ground near Billericay.

The Motor Zone provided an excellent experience for anyone from those with a passing interest in motors through to the most dedicated petrol heads. The children enjoyed having their faces painted as well!!

Essex Spectacular This Weekend

Ian Flood's New Caddy Demonstrator

Ian Flood has just taken delivery of his new Caddy Panel Van Demonstrator.

The Caddy's design is based on the new Caddy Racer that is being raced during the 2011 season in the Volkswagen Racing Championship. Director of Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, Simon Elliott is behind the wheel of the new-look, race-tuned petrol-engined van.

The Caddy Racer can be seen on our stand at the forth-coming Essex Spectacular that is being held at Barleylands, Billericay on the weekend of 5th-7th August 2011.

In the meantime, keep an out for Ian Flood on the roads of Essex.

Volkswagen California Berghaus Limited Edition Model Is Coming Soon

Volkwagen Commercial Vehicles have just announced a new limited edition model of California for the summer market.

The Berghaus limited edition California model is the ultimate lifestyle vehicle for exploring and enjoying the outdoors in comfort and style. The vehicle has been developed over the last 18 months and is generating great interest from the press and consumers.

 There will be only 80 units produced, making the vehicle both exclusive and desirable. Delivery of the first vehicles are expected in September 2011. 

On top of the SE standard specification, the California Berghaus has:

Come And Meet Charlie Pitcher At The Essex Spectacular

VW Van Centre (Chelmsford) are proud to announce that intrepid fundraiser, Charlie Pitcher, will be in attendance on our stand at the Essex Spectacular being held on the 5th-7th August 2011 at Barleylands, Billericay, Essex.

Charlie, from Felsted, is the first man to run the Marathon Des Sables and row solo across the Atlantic in one year. More recently, he became the first man to run non-stop from the top of Ben Nevis to the top of Britain, some 350km in 100 hours.

The Marathon Des Sables is run across the Sahara desert in Morocca and requires participants to run nearly six marathons in six days carrying their own equipment and food. The race is considered to be the toughest foot race on Earth.

Charlie not only won his solo class in the Woodvale Atlantic Rowing Race in 2010, but the whole race in 52 days - a new British solo record and the first time a solo rower has ever won the world's toughest rowing race.

So far, Charlie has raised over £45,000 for the Addenbrooke's Renal Unit in Memory of his friend Shaun McLeod Jones who was a kidney dialysis patient at the unit until he died in May 2003. Charlie's expeditions have also raised a further £15,000 for other charities.

Charlie will be bringing along his rowing machine as part of a competition being held on the weekend in aid of his favourite charity.
